Metro Atlanta’s eviction crisis demands attention. Georgia Public Broadcasting reported in September 2026 that 144,047 eviction cases were filed across the five-county metro area over the preceding 12 months. Behind these filings are people facing uncertainty about their homes and how they will meet their basic needs.
Eats 4 The Streets is seeking grant funding and donations to provide emergency food and care packages to 50 households facing eviction or recently displaced from their homes in metro Atlanta.
We are committed to helping people facing hunger, displacement, and crisis wherever our resources and partnerships allow us to respond. This initiative welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds—including parents with children, couples, seniors, veterans, and adults living alone. Assistance will be based on immediate needs.
HOMELESS ANIMALS NEED US 🐾
They may be without a home, but they should never be without hope.
Every day, dogs and cats live on the streets alongside people experiencing homelessness. They face hunger, illness, injury, extreme weather, and uncertainty—yet many never leave the side of the person they love.
For someone experiencing homelessness, a pet can be family, companionship, protection, and one of their greatest sources of comfort. Even when resources are scarce, people often share what little they have with their animals.
No animal should go hungry simply because their family is struggling.
That’s why Eats 4 The Streets created HOMELESS ANIMALS NEED US—an outreach initiative dedicated to helping pets living alongside people experiencing homelessness.
Through community support, we aim to provide pet food and clean water, pet supplies, blankets and weather protection, basic veterinary assistance, and emergency animal-care support.
THEY CAN'T ASK. BUT WE CAN ANSWER.
They can't tell us they're hungry.
They can't explain where it hurts.
They can't tell us they're frightened.
But together, we can be their voice.
